NADRA, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Interior, is responsible for maintaining Pakistan’s national identity infrastructure. To strengthen its legal leadership, NADRA invites accomplished professionals to apply for a senior executive role at its Islamabad headquarters.

Position Available

Chief Legal Officer – Islamabad (Maximum Age: 55 Years)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an HEC-recognized university.
Preference for candidates with LLM or Ph.D. in Law (constitutional, corporate, ICT, regulatory, or administrative law).

Professional Experience

Licensed Advocate with 15+ years post-qualification standing at the Bar, eligible to practice before High Courts and/or Supreme Court.
Demonstrated experience in high-profile litigation, appeals, writs, constitutional and corporate matters.
Strong record in contract drafting, compliance, governance, dispute resolution, and policy/legal framework development.
Proven leadership in senior legal roles—either in public institutions (BPS-21/20 or equivalent), regulatory authorities, or large private sector entities.
Additional exposure to privacy, data protection, cyber law, procurement, and IT-related legal issues is highly valued.
Candidates from academia or legal research with senior management experience and publications may also be considered.

Skills & Competencies

Exceptional analytical, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Deep understanding of Pakistani law (citizenship, IT, data privacy, corporate governance).
Ability to lead large, multi-region legal teams and advise on compliance, risk, and policy.
Strong ethical standards, integrity, and decision-making in high-stakes scenarios.

Age Limit

Up to 55 years (inclusive of relaxation provided under NADRA regulations).

Contract: Initially 5 years, extendable based on performance.
