Position Title: Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Expert

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
-
BS (Hons) in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
-
NEBOSH International General Certificate is mandatory.
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in EHS management.
-
At least 5 years in a similar role on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in Power Sector, Hydropower, or International Donor Funded Projects.
Age Limit

As per WAPDA recruitment rules and government policy.

Contract (not regularized at any stage).

Pay Package
-
Lump-sum salary of Rs. 200,000/- per month (inclusive of all perks and allowances).
Key Responsibilities
- The EHS Expert will:
-
Assist project management in implementing the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and EHS policies.
-
Conduct EHS risk assessments, audits, and inspections for rehabilitation works.
-
Maintain and update EHS risk registers and implement mitigation measures.
-
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual monitoring reports to WAPDA and donor agencies.

Ensure proper documentation of incidents, inspections, and corrective actions.
-
Conduct EHS awareness programs and training sessions for staff and workers.
-
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring corrective measures are implemented.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, donor agencies, and local authorities on EHS issues.
